I have only been vegan for less than a year and don't know many other vegans in the area. Would definitely enjoy meeting some people!
I have been vegan for a litte over two years now am currently finishing up a degree in art history at UWM,bikram yoga is my therapy and I recently have started an vegan non-dairy organic cupcake co The SweetCakes Co (www.thesweetcakeco.com) . I live in downtown Milwaukee and am surrounded by some of the most amazing people, and places. My boyfriend, friends are mostly vegetarians and we love to brunch and seem to find ourselves most at Beans and Barley, occasionally at Comet Cafe and most recently at BelAir Cantina. Its great to see that there are two kind lifers in the area hope you both had a great holiday and hope the new year brings you many great things. If either of you have questions about vegan options in Mke let me know and I can direct you to someone who knows if I cannot answer it myself.
Hello everyone! I was telling my husband this was something I was waiting for! I started vegan back in March. We were just starting to explore the different restaurant options here in Milwaukee since I prefer cooking vegan vs trying to "find something". I think this forum is great! Can't wait to share good finds around Milwaukee!
I also love the restaurant HoneyPie, which is in Bay View, just by St. Francis. Owned by the same people as Comet Cafe. Fantastic food!
