Hey, fellow Michiganders! I live in Lansing. The hubby and I pretty much have to go to Ann Arbor for a decent vegan meal out. Seva is the only place we've tried so far- the Tofu Rancheros was delish! I think we're going to try Jazzy Veggie next, which is supposed to be all vegan. :)

We're planning on going to the Veg Fest out of curiosity.

Oh, as far as finding kabocha squash, lotus root, etc...I found all those at a local Asian market.

I also get Door To Door Organics- love the service, but I do wish they had more local items.

hey everyone! I'm new to vegetarian/veganism and live in Farmington - I would love to connect with some new veg friends.

I've been to both Seva (so-so) and Blue Nile (awesome), but I'd like to find other options. that VegFest looks like it could be fun! would anyone be interested in getting together beforehand and then checking it out?

Hi everyone! I am so new to this and I live in Taylor (near by the Metro Airprot that is) :).

I love Blue Nile other than that I haven't tried anything else. I heard there's a great vegan resto in Novi/Northville? I hope to learn more from all of you!

browneyedfoodie-what did you get at seva? that is one of my fave places to eat. but i do think it depends on what you get there.. try happycow.net for restaurants. it's usually pretty updated.

tacobrunch-is the place in novi/northville you are talking about called red pepper deli? if so, it IS good. almost 100% raw tho. just so you know! best coconut creme pie EVER

Hey guys, not sure how many of you ever go to What Crepe? in Royal Oak, but I went last night and found out they no longer serve vegan ice cream for dessert so I sent them an email. I am not sure why they went back on their initial vegan friendliness....

They still have vegan savory crepes and vegan sweet crepes options

hey! I haven't been on in awhile. But I just heard something really excited....vegan soft serve in Birmingham! It's a place called Sweet Dreams, I've walked by it before not knowing what it was. But my friend just told me they have several different flavors of vegan softserve. I do not think I have had soft serve in...years. And she said its delicious. I am going to try to go sometime this week and I will post on here it was. I'm so excited!
