Really? No Austin Texas? I thought for sure it would have been in the 1st 10 entries. Anyway, any Austinites out there?

Hey Brianna, How are you? I moved to Austin back in November, the vegan community being a huge draw for me. I discovered Mr. Natural (the South Lamar one) a few days in and was hooked! I've also done Mother's about 5 times, but have yet to try others. One of my fellow Vegans Rock Austin members recommends Beets cafe. Have you tried it?

I was just as surprised as you to have not seen Austin, so I created my own but I found you!!! I live in South Austin and I first tried Mr. Natural back in 2007! Great place! I have never heard of Beets Cafe. I am gonna try it. Now to be honest I am not superhero, however I do not eat meat. I am going through a lot and look for ways to keep my diet as clean as possible, but I am not strict. Still, I am so glad to see we even have a vegan community. I am always looking for places to eat that are vegan :) Happy Tuesday!
Hey Eliza, There is an organization called Vegans Rock Austin. They get together on occasion, go to restaurants, etc. It's a pretty cool group from what I've seen. You should check us out! Talk to you soon!

Hi everybody! It's nice to know there are other local vegans out there. My sister and I have started a local Austin blog for vegans. We have restaurant lists, grocery stores more. Please check it out! It was inspired of course by Alicia, hence the name.

My husband and I are vegan! There are lots of "kind" people here in Austin. I live in North Austin, so there aren't as many of the cool indpendent vegan restaurants. We just discovered that the Steeping Room at the Domain has wonderful vegan breakfast options (and really yummy tea!).

Yay Austin!! Well, actually I'm in Georgetown.. but close enough.. I just started on this "journey" this week... and so far its going well... I definately need to stock up on the correct ingredients so I can make some of those meals that look so good...
I checked out your website, Sarah... I think it will help me figure out where to get some of those things.. thanks...

I am about 10 minutes north of Austin (Round Rock). So lucky to live in such a veg friendly place, and yet I am often complaining that I wish there was more here, lol.
