As for that certificate, it looks like that's something that you'd do if you were already in the health field, whether a doctor just trying to educate himself on nutrition more or a dietician getting continuing ed. credits. I don't think it would be worth anything by itself.
To CB - SC State in Orangeburg has an accredited program. That is the closest place to you in SC, there may be something closer in NC though.

I live in Batesburg-Leesville, but work in Columbia..I've been a member to the site for quite a while, she has some great info..and recipes..I've been vegan for 2yrs and just loving the life of a vegan!!! Have any of you ever tried the vegan restaurant Lambs Bread down on Main St. in Columbia?? Great food, i even got my non vegan husband to eat there one day and he liked it!!
