@Melanie

A must visit is Fresh http://www.freshrestaurants.ca/main.asp. They're a vegetarian restaurant but have TONS of vegan options and will cater to your needs. There are two locations and both are amazing.

If you're in the mood for pizza Magic Oven is a great spot http://www.magicoven.com/! They serve Daiya cheese as the vegan option and the awesome toppings, like Kale, mushrooms and sweet peppers, still make it a healthy option. You can even get gluten-free crusts. The desserts are tasty too.

Hey! There is a restaurant in Yorkville called Rawlicious, which is a raw vegan restaurant. I haven't actually tried the food there, but I went in, and the girl working there was making 'brownies' that looks yummy.

Hi! I'm thinking about going vegan... interested to meet other vegans to help share resources/support/etc. I'm also a mom to a 1-year girl...is it possible to raise kids vegan?? I was told by a child nutritionist that I need to give homo milk...right now we choose organic homo milk, but i wonder if she can get all her nutrients to grow with soya milk... thoughts? contact me!

I'm going to check out The Loving Hut tonight for dinner - 100% vegan restaurant on Eglinton West. Hope it is good! :)

I live in Mississauga as well. I find there aren't really many vegan/veg restaurants close to me, but I do find it to be really easy to find a lot of vegan ingredients or replacements at the regular grocery store (Metro, Superstore, etc.) like vegenaise, earth balance, nutritional yeast, and even daiya you can find at the superstore! Also, a Whole Foods just opened at Square One!

Vegetarian Haven is a wonderful restaurant! Despite the name, it is completely vegan. While their mains are really good, the dessert is honestly out of this world. They make most of there own desserts, and what they don't make they get from Sweets from the Earth. It's on Baldwin, just ease of kensington market. Also, Live, is a raw vegan restaurant that is mega yum as well. On the east side there is a completely vegetarian Indian restaurant, that labels all their vegan options.

Those are ones that I have been too and that I love. I live downtown Toronto, but I honestly don't go out to eat very often.
