hey I'm in KC! I bet you all are from Overland Park or somewhere trendy like that, hogging all the Whole Foods stores, right? haha I'm in the Northland and can't seem to find ANY Kind Lifers around me. Message me please! I'd love the tips & support. :-)

I'm in kc, and yes I am in overland park. we may have all the whole foods but we definitely don't have any restaurants! it's not easy being vegan here:)

Hi Everyone!


Liz, if you live up north, there is a health food store in Briarcliff called Green Acres Market. When I lived in the River Market this would be one of the places I would shop. They have all sorts of things to choose from. Also, Hyvee has a pretty good health food market right in the store. Check them out! This is where I do most of my shopping now that I no longer live close to any health food stores. Also remember that spring is just around the corner, this will give you the opportunity to shop at farmers' markets all over the city, at great prices! And maybe you can even grow some things on your own :)



Eating vegan in Kansas City restaurants presents its challenges. Eden Alley on the plaza is a vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. They are in the lower level of Unity Temple. Look on-line to get their hours. Cafe Seed is an all Vegan restaruant, it's located on 29th and Cherry St. in KCMO. I haven't been but have heard good things.

I've just started.....any suggestions when eating out local at places that are not necessarily veggie/vegan? Had any luck or come across anything good?

I just joined the kind life today! I live north of KC, about 60 min. I am in St. Joseph 4x/week. It's nice to meet other kindlifers!
