Hello, I recently heard about a business in Cornwall, Ontario who is sponsoring a coyote/wolf kill.

It will culminate in the Coyote/Wolfest Ball ( I'm not making this up ) where all the Elmer Fudds will compare kills and have fun boasting about how large their pe&%$'s are. Then prizes will be awarded to the hunter who killed the smallest female, the largest female, etc etc...........

If you're as incredibly disgusted by this as I am, PLEASE send the owner of the business who started this ( Fence Depot ) a short e-mail?? Even just to say Shame On You! Power in numbers!

You can't really be serious?! Is there anything online about it, like a main website, that we could read?

Lori,

I finally found your post! I'll send my e-mail tomorrow morning, after I have time to go on-line and look-up and read the articles about it. This is outrageous....awful!

Hi, I am from Cornwall Ontario originally, I am actually a neice of John Locke, owner of fence depot.

I am first going to say, I STRONGLY do not agree with this coyotte and wolf killing conest.

I was going to write a comment on one of these newspaper articles but I just didn't have the time to get signed in with a new account before I leave for work, here is my comment anyways on this forum,

Your Comment: At the end of the day it should be the farmers responsibility to make sure that their live stock is safe from preditors.

"I said, sure, I'd be happy to get rid of them; we've had lots of troubles with (coyotes killing deer) fauns," Locke said, of the hunt, from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28.

What do you expect coyotes to eat, grass, flowers and maybe they can nibble on that rainbow in the distance.

Instead there can be money made off of 'culling' these coyottes! It is not culling, it is a contest. Let me guess, you can win a t.v if you bring back the largest pup. Sick.

More or less the quote "We're going to put a curtain up and have a coyote calling contest. We're going to pick out judges and have some fun with it -- it should be a hoot."
It definitely is sickening when killing an animal for a contest is 'a hoot'
Fair enough if your going to consume what you slaughter, but this here is a waste.

No wonder these animals are expanding their diet by targeting farmed animals. They are an easy prey. Easier when farmers don't have the right equipment for protecting their live stock

So far 40 registrations and John is looking at 100. How many 'True Hunters' from Cornwall and surrounding areas are there? My guess, not that many.

Did you put those posters up when it was dark outside.

Here is a link to some of the newspaper articles about this 'event'

and here is the website for their company

I am urging anyone and everyone who is against this sick 'conest' to voice your opinions!

Oh, and City Limits Bar said they can't refuse to host their "Gala" as it would be discrimination.......

I am in tears reafing this. Pure disgust. I don't know what else to say.I just wish people would understand you do not need meat in their diets. Once you do...your heart breaks with news like this. So sad.
