I am just finishing reading the kind life...it really struck a cord that had been humming in me for a long time....I am scared becasue I have a family and I will be doing this alone at first. I have a few questions? Is this expensive to start.....I want to make it a permanent thing over tme but I feel very overwhelmed right now....besides the animal aspects...I reallyneed to do this for my health first and foremost so I can be a healthy happy mom and wife to my family! Also how do vegans feel about juicing vegetables?
I guess I should have introduced myself....my name is Jennifer and I am 37yr old wife of 17yrs and mother of a 2 boys and I want to change my life! I would love to meet anyone in the GR, MI areas but I am thankful for anyone I meet on here!
Hi, Jennifer-
Welcome! I was just reading over the posts and noticed that yours hadn't been replied to yet so I wanted to say hello and try to offer some sage wisdom. =) Feel free to ask your questions here. Everyone is always really great and super helpful on this site. Also, since you are new and have a lot of questions you may be interested in a health based study I am doing on plant-based diets. All 7 participants in the study ate either a SAD(standard american diet) or vegetarian diet up until 16 days ago! So right now they are going through the very thing you are contemplating doing. They are blogging about their experience too. Talking about how they feel, what they are eating etc. One of our participants, Stephanie, is in what sounds like a very similar position to you. She is 41, married two kids 16 and 20 i believe and none of them are interested in changing with her. Thus, she may be able to provide some insight to you based on how things are going for her. She's super nice and I'm sure she would be more than happy to answer any questions that you have. :)
And, yes juicing vegetables is more than fine (in my opinion any way).
I hope that helps a little. Best wishes and Kindest Regards, Jenna (www.theplantrx.com)
