Hey Cassie,

I'm on page 115 of the book and I love it, WOW! But, I jumped ahead a little and was scimming through the cleanse and the recipes sounded hard or maybe I just got a little nervous! what is your feed back on that if you will. I'm so glad you are on the cleanse. I can't wait to start!!!

Yeah the recipes can be intimidating when you first check them out...some of them require a dehydrator or high speed blender, thankfully i have a dehydrator option on my oven so i have just used that but as far as the high speed blender, i have just been doing my best with my normal blender..its not as smooth as it would be in a high speed blender but it doesn't bother me that some of it is chunkier, it give it some texture. I haven't tried making any of the soups because of it though because my blender wont warm it up like a high speed one. I kind of just wing it and everything has been really good so far! My favorites so far are the teriyaki tofu with the asian gingery dressing on a side salad and the mexican pilaf. The thai peanut vegetables are realllllly good too but i would half the amount of salt, the "egg" salad is really yummy and so are the black bean and sweet potato burgers! Coming up is week 2 so there are a lot more recipes to try. ill probably try some of the more involved recipes this week and try some of the soups even though they might not be that warm. Ill keep you updated! :)

P.S. I made the banana sorbet dessert and threw some dark chocolate in (your aloud to have a little bit as long as its at least 70 %) and it was delish! It got me out of my detox bitchy mood lol

I too got the book about three weeks ago and I was just reading what to do on the 21 day cleanse. I plan on starting on Feb 21st, does anyone else what to join me then? We can do our own thread. I just set up a Jack Lalane power juicer along side my vitamix so I am raring to go!! It's like the ultimate nutrition station. As for recipes, so far just made the cabbage hemp salad and ate over this weekend (did I say yummy!!) and the dijon agave dressing (having tonight with salad). I am still battling the yeasty boys somewhat and want to evict them for good, thinking this cleanse is the answer. The book is amazing and this is no respect to TKD, Skinny Bitch or Thrive but this book seems to have the best suggestions for me personally.

Reading everyone's posts makes me want to go out and get her book! Has anyone seen her article in one this month's (or maybe last's) VegNews magazine? It was amazing, and she is such an inspiration.
