Ok so here is my situation. I go to school all day and don't get home until ~5:00. I have one or two free hours during the school day, but I use that to go to the library because there is always tons of work for me to do. I need a snack/lunch type food that will fill me up and be healthy, but the tricky part is that it needs to be compact enough that it can fit in a particular pouch in my backpack. I don't want anything that needs assembly (i.e. dipping), or anything that needs to be refridgerated.

Sorry this is so long...I feel like I'm giving a riddle with all of these specifics. But I'm just really struggling with this. Thanks for ANY help you can give!

Hi! Like you I am at school or running around all day as well. I always pack food and snacks for the day. I recommend finding some raw granola..they will fill you up and they're pretty big so you can snack on them for awhile too! Theres GO RAW brand thats good..you can find them at most whole foods store.. :)

I always carry around peanut butter sandwiches, apples and bananas. Hummus in a tortilla wrap might work too if you can roll it small enough to fit in your bag.

Hi!

Today I was at a meeting and had to take my lunch. I didn't know if there would be a fridge so here's what I took. An Ezekiel sprouted tortilla with some mashed white beans, avocado and spinach wrap, a baggie of carrot sticks, daikon radish rounds and apple slice and a baggie of raw almonds, raisins and pumpkin seeds. It was great! Didn't take up any room in my bag, didn't need refridgeration and I could munch it all day. It was really fantastic when I inadvertenly sat that the lunch table with all the vegans and vegetarians. I knew cause they all had the healthies best lunchs! I eat lots of raw food when I'm on the go. It really is easy!

little bags of dried fruit? i have lots of those in my desk drawer at work so I can grab them if I need something to snack on. I haven't bought anything from the 'Sandwich Man' in weeks!

I love NSA no-sulfur dried papaya slices or pineapple slices.Luna bars are great too. Pistacios, almonds, or any kind of nut, tough fruit/veggies like oranges, apples, celery stick with organic peanut butter in a little reusable container (pears and peaches are a mess if you're rough with your bookbag.I'm speaking from experience.Ahh,good times :)
