I am from Ellicott City, Maryand and have been a vegartarian for over 20 years and trying to be faithful with my new vegan diet. I take a vegan multivitamin, flaxseed oil along with some other supplements. I am wondering if I should start taking a probiotic and if so, need suggestions on which brand I should try. Thanks for your guidance.
I personally believe everyone should take probiotics. There are just so many reasons.
Go to a good healthfood store and find one with no dairy. Apparently It should have at least 15 billion live cells at time of expiry and either take it with food or get an enteric coated, perferably time released capsule.
I would Google the benefits of probiotics and see if for any reason ( age, Candida etc ) you would benefit from a higher dose.
