Just wanted to introduce myself. Was a long time Vegetarian prior to my first pregnancy in 2007 and recently found my way back to an all veg diet after the birth of my second child. During the hiatus, my family ate mostly organic and alot of whole foods. Meat was just part of the diet. I've been off the meat now for 3 weeks and dairy for 2 weeks. I happen to be really sick (thanks to the strange weather in the northeast) and am craving a grilled cheese sandwich like you would not believe. I've never felt comfort in meat but dairy most definitely.
Incidentally, I love Alicia's book and have tried out a bunch of the recipes on my family. The Udon was a big hit. I altered some of the vegetables based on what was in our food share box. She really makes vegan-ism attainable.
