Vegans w/ stomach problems

Hello,

I've been 100% dietary vegan since last Summer for compassionate reasons. In the last few months I made the transition to true vegan with my soaps and household products. Anyway...

I had little real milk today, but it was in medicine I need. I've got some kind of stomach flu where i can't keep anything down (for the past 4 days). The medicine I am taking lately is Immodium. I felt bad about it this morning but I need it. The first time I took it, which was yesterday, i hadn't looked at the ingredients, but this afternoon when I took another dose, I noticed it had milk. I said to myself, it's not like I'm drinking a glass of milk and I am really sick and that medicine worked both times. I will take it again if I have to, you know what I mean...?

Any other vegans out there who have had this common stomach problem shared between meateaters and vegetarians alike. What else is there besides Immodium?

I've had this for 4 days and I can't be experimenting with things because each day I lose nutrients and that medicine works.

Funny, I just logged on because I was wondering what Vegans eat when they get the stomach flu, which is what I have. Anyone else have any advice? I hope you feel better soon :(
