Hey Tracy! Good for you and good for you : )

I find that my vegan diet and yoga practice compliment each other completely. As you study more about yoga, the asanas, pranayama and meditation, you will find a calmness that permeates your whole lifestyle and being. Keep it up, you have support from your Kula!

i've been feeling the call back to yoga myself!! it's like it just keeps popping up in my head... i'll think: 'wow, i bet down dog or warrior II would feel so good right about now..." but i'm always in a place where i can't do it-like walking down the street or sitting in my cubicle at work!! maybe i'll pop in a yoga dvd tonight after work :)

I'm so glad to read all these posts. I am an aspiring yoga teacher. I will be going for my teacher training this fall. Yoga and a vegan diet are like two peas in a pod! The more you learn about each, you will see how well they go together. I find myself doing many poses while watching t.v and it makes a huge difference rather than sitting on the couch. Even taking just a few minutes each morning to do some sun salutations can do wonders.

Positive energies to you all!

I've just started ashtanga yoga and am totally loving it. I want to practice everyday and miss it when I don't - it just makes me feel so great. I'm a long way off from being good but enjoying the journey. The class I attend is geared towards self practice, which I thought I would hate because I normally like led classes but it actually really suits me:)

I'm also practicing ashtanga yoga:-) And self practice is the best! I also started with led classes and now I mostly do self practice and once a week a led primary class. I started 5 years ago and still love it. Veganism is quite new to me and I also have to say that yoga and veganism complement each other perfectly.

I think what separates yoga from other form of exercises is that it goes the other way. Yoga is done slowly and that what makes it stand out and can be done by anyone and anywhere except some complex postures.

I started yoga a few months ago as well :) I do vinyasa and Bikram...although I have slowed the Bikram down because it is SO expensive! Love my vinyasa class though, I always feel amazing after!

Always check with your local studios. Many of them have volunteer or energy exchanges. A few hours of volunteer work here and there or bartering with any services you can offer can get you in class for free.
