I recently discovered that Car Washes and boat yards are excellant sources for 50 gallon barrels. Someone told me that you can ask the car wash if they have any barrels they are disposing of, and in a lot of cases they will give it to you. I got mine from a Yacht Yard. The most important thing is too thoroughly clean the barrels as they've contained anti-freeze or washing solution, but it can be done. This is much more cost effective solution then spending a fortune on one from Home Depot or it's equivalents.
