Hi, so I'm vegan trying to dabble in Superhero as much as I can. Now in your book it states that half your plate should be dark greens, 1/4 should be protein (like beans) and 1/4 should be whole grains. I know that the greens are a free for all. But what about the beans and grains? If you're trying to lose weight, is there a certain portion size for these? For example, is one cup of beans a portion and one cup of grains a portion? Everyone's plate size is different lol.

Hi Cher :)

It sounds like you already know what you should be doing...and are doing great!

If you are looking to lose weight, I would suggest not consuming a cup of beans and rice cooked as that is quite a lot. However, the best advice would be to just listen to your body, eat until you are full and nit bursting, and enjoying your food.

Modern Day Macrobiotics by Simon Brown has a great 10 day detox to kick start you and you can lose weight very easily on it. It is balanced and nutritious and I would highly recommend it.

Godo luck :)
