What I heard at the Nail Salon

So I'm at my nail salon today (btw, if anybody is looking for a nail salon in Madison, WI that uses vegan products, check out Salon Rue Cler), and the guy doing my nails had to spend like 10 minutes on my cuticles. He asked when my last manicure was, and I told him about a week and a half ago, and he was shocked, saying my cuticles seem to grow at least three times faster than normal folks. I asked if that was good or not, and he was like "it means you have a great healthy diet, and I want to eat what you're eating!" Proudly, I responded with "I'm vegan!" He laughed and asked if that's why I came to this salon to get my nails done and I told him yes, and he started asking lots of questions, even said he might check out the vegan restaurant down the block at the end of his shift!
Moral of the story: Vegan = healthy nails, healthy soul, and a great platform for change!

Well I like this!! It's sometimes the little things even more so than the big ones.... :)
How great that you couldn't keep your veganism a secret if you wanted to--you're too obviously healthy! And what a great little bit of pr for veganism!
That is great news!! haha
I've realized recently that my nails are yellowish at the top half. I do not get manicures. I paint them a new color every week. I'm a vegetarian, though I cook vegan (just can't consider myself one completely). I'm started to get concerned. Someone at work a few weeks ago made notice when I had clear polish on. I dont know if this is something to worry about.... Does anyone know? Maybe you could ask your salon Dani A?
Thank you for reading!!

That is so cool!
I noticed that my nails are growing CRAZYstrong since I went vegan. I have to trim them at least every other week or they get way too long. I could never grow my nails before- they'd always break or split- so this is a huge change for me! :)
That makes me feel better! I'm always so bummed that my cuticles grow so fast as it means more regular manicures, which adds up in terms of expense, but if that means I'm healthy, I'll suck it up! :)
Thanks for sharing!
