I don't think it's a huge deal. If you follow the superhero diet, you probably don't need to worry too much about strict macrobiotics (unless you want to). I like that the superhero diet is all about moderation, and I'm pretty confidend that you can get all sorts of great benefits with it--and no need to go hardcore macrobiotic. To me, superhero is doable, not faddy, and stays away from making any outrageous claims, so I find it to be a perfect fit.
