Hi guys I have been Vegan for a year and I am a Cirque Performer. I have a gig in London and I am worried about finding Vegan options while I am there performing next month. When I went to Spain this summer almost every resturant I went to had probs making Vegan option for me. The language barrier didnt help either. Now I am worried I will have the same prob in london. Is anyone from there or does anyone know great vegan ideas for my travels?

Hi Jacqui. I think there is a strong vegan community in London, actually.

I just googled "london vegan restaurants" and there seem to be decent sources of info.

Also, happycow.net is a good website for vegans who travel.

Bon voyage!

Jacqui, you'll have absolutely no problem finding vegan food in London - none. London is a world away from Spain so you'll have lots of options. Where are you performing, where will you be staying? I've just returned from a weekend of vegan eating in London (I went for my birthday a few weeks back) so I can recommend a few places. There are several wholefoods in London, as well as stores called Holland and Barrett (they're everywhere), so you can stock up on snacks and whatnot there. I'm going back to London in a month to continue my eating fest - I cannot wait!
