In late Feb I went vegan (I had flirted with vegan/vegetarianism for so long and knew dairy/meat made me sick so I just went vegan overnight.) At this time I also gave up coffee, caffeine (well mostly, I've had tea at times without realizing there was some caffeine inside.) A little over a month ago Alicia suggested to me to eat as much superhero is possible for my skin so since then I've done about 80-90% superhero. Throughout this journey I've also switched to all natural vegan bi-products, make up, and lunapads too. I've avoided sweets for the past few years because it always caused me to break out and without it my skin stays pretty clear. My body feels wonderful, however my skin started breaking out a lot due to detox, then it calmed down a bit. Although it started up again when I tried brown rice syrup- so I guess that's another sweetener that doesn't work for me. But now my skin is calming down again. Anyways how long did skin detox take for everyone else? Also, is there are a way to speed up the process of getting rid of the dark marks that zits leave behind? It's funny because I NEVER pick at my blemishes, yet they still leave behind marks that take some time to go away and it's truly frustrating. I wash my face with Avalon Organics Lavender face wash + use Korean green tea toner and moisturizer and in the morning I use some Olay spf complete moisturizer (when I run out I'll switch to cruelty free) in the morning for sun protection. I started drinking the Yogi skin detox tea but stopped because I saw that it had a little caffeine in it. Any advice?
I went vegan beginning of Feb and my skin is just finally clearing up. Have you tried the green apple peel from Juice Beauty? I stings like heck but I think the marks left by past beakouts have faded. I ordered their whole skin blemesh kit and its been working pretty well. I had to stop using the Olay moisturizer, it was making my breakouts even worse.
Hi Lily, I too have struggled with break outs. I have started using pure tea tree oil(the blends never worked for me) and it has been the miracle product for me. I put it on any marks that are taking awhile to go away or a new break out. I use it in the morning, under my make up and at night, after I wash my face. It has really worked and it is all natural.
