place of origin for new members

its no big deal, but is there any chance that when new members sign up, that u can fix the place of origin? im from Sydney Australia & it wouldnt let me select Australia. my only choices were American States.i was able to put my location in the previous box, but had to select an american state, in the next box, otherwise i couldnt join, because it comes up as an error message, to select a state in the US.
