Recently I met a low fat raw vegan and he was so interesting to talk to. He recommended this book:

the 80/10/10 diet by Dr. Douglas Graham. Very interesting book as it describes what we should be eating 80% carbohydrates in their natural states for ultimate health and well being. This guy that I met is seriously healthy as he has been practicing this way of eating for about 7 years. He runs marathons and before he started this diet, he suffered from chronic asthma. So he attributes this way of eating to healing his body. So all I could do is get the book and dig in. It really does make a lot of sense what Dr. Graham talks about. A good read and even though I may not do this diet to a T, I have learned some really important things about sugars and fat in the diet and how the body responds.

I love to read inspiring books and have at least 2 or 3 going at all times. Here are a few of my

other books that I have found a must read in my library at:

If we lived in the trees without electricity and ovens, fruit would be our perfect food and we would be gathering all day! It is a book that makes a lot of sense if you look at it that way. Especially since something like 80% of the world if gluten intolerant, yet that is a huge part of the SAD diet.

Unfortunately, I live in Canada, and 6 months out of the year, I want to snuggie up on my couch and eat soup to warm me. This diet really only works if you are living in a warmer almost tropical climate. Maybe I should move... haha
