Pregnancy and Dry Skin

This is my third pregnancy and I am about 15 weeks along. I have never experienced dry skin during pregnancy before and was wondering if anyone has any tips?
My skin is normally combination/dry. I have to use moisturizer in the morning and at night. But now it's getting to a point where even if moisturize, my skin just stays dry and flaky. I exfoliate twice a week. I also need some vegan make up suggestions for dry skin.
I did move from Washington DC to Vancouver, WA however it is very wet here, so I doubt it is the climate.
Any ideas??
I too experienced a phase of extremely dry flaky skin during the 4th month, that soon passed (lasted about 3 weeks). I didn't change anything in my diet, and like you said, no amount of moisturizer seemed to help, but it suddenly passed. I find that exfoliating seems to aggrivate my skin during pregnancy, I bleed much easier if I pick at skin (sorry TMI) and get brown spots on my face where skin seems to be drier than other spots. So I lean toward moisturizing, even if it looks oily ( i chalk it up to that pregnancy glow). As for make up, my experience has been that my pores inhale anything I put on my face, so I avoid foundation. Rather, I stick to concealing spots (under eyes) and using a powder blush/bronzer only on my cheeks. This gives enough of a presentable look without the side effects of clogged pores, etc. My favorite moisturizer for the body is Everday Shea Moisturizing Body Lotion (unscened) found at Whole Foods... comes in 32 oz bottle so it should last a while. Good luck!
