Today I went to my first vegetarian restaurant. The restaurant I went to was Krishna Catering & Restaurant in Garden City, Michigan. I went to the restaurant on Tuesday during their Lunch Buffet which cost $5. I wanted to get a little taste of everything. The food was pretty good.
I like Green, which is in San Antonio TX
HI Barbara, Hi Gabi. That's so good you two have tried VEG restaurants! I'm from the Bay Area, CA. I have losts of Veg options here but I'm Gluten Free, so that makes my options partly limited. I have found great Vegetarian/vegan cookbooks online. I found this one restaurant that has 3 books out. It's called 'Fresh Restaurant'. 'Fresh' is located in Canada, so there is no way I could get in the car and eat dinner within 6 hours. Anyway, I purcahsed all three books so that I could make their delicious food at home!
So yeah, cookbooks from vegan/vegetarian restaurants are so amazing.
I reall recommend this book also! One of the books is tittled 'Fresh At Home' which is recipes from the restaurant designed for home chefs to make and feel like your really a costumer. The book is just so warm and so welcoming . 'Cafe Gratitude' has 2 cookbooks also, so they supply costumers options if your not able to make it to their restaurant too. 'Cafe Gratitude' has a restuarant based cookbook for meals and a dessert cookbook. They are both so delightful!
And one more, the raw food restaurant based on the east coast in New York ( i think) called 'Pure Food and Wine' has AMAZING!!! cookbooks. I have both copies! I purchased them both online. The first time I saw 'Living Raw Food Get the Glow' I was so AMAZED with this book. I think I wanted it for years and I finally just received it! There are so many great juice, shakes and vegan milk drinks in both.
Well, its so splendid that those restaurants supply us with cookbooks that make us feel like where there, dining with other or getting to the juice bar without actually needing to live in their neighborhoods to try their recipes.
