I wouldnt recommend calorie restriction espcieally if you are even somewhat active. Its not a good idea in my opinion, and usually leads to people binging to make up the calories.

Although the studies in mice are interesting they are not human studies plus there are multiple factors to take into account.

...and I was extremely active yesterday and will be again today. Last evening I took a miles long walk in the evening sun which gave me some vitamin D to go with my new vegan calcium chews. I also carried heavy furniture before and after the walk with no strain and I did not wake up sore. It felt great and was not exhausted after the activity.

I'm still doing good BTW. I ate only twice a few days ago (bc I have been very busy lately) and today I was only going to eat twice again but decided that wasn't a good idea so I nibbled here and there nonstop after lunch. It was kinda like I had a four hour long lunch if that makes sense, which ended up being "dinner".

For a snack after breakfast I had a snapple green tea. I really appreciate the fact they do not put honey in it. I'm having a hard time believing they are doing it for vegans but more for people w/ bee allergies. I do not see companies going out of their way for vegans, but either way I like it.

I know a bit about Gary Null and though he does claim to eat "one meal daily" it's a bit of a myth because this "one meal" is made up of several small courses that are eaten very slowly with 15 minutes breaks in between each course. So this meal takes like two hours to eat in its entirety. In addition to that, Null juices several times a day. So, he's not slamming down food in 15 minutes like most of us do.

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to defend or rebuke Null. He has a lot of good things to say and some questionable things to say so, like with everything, proceed with caution and educate yourself as much as possible.
