So Ive been Vegan almost half a year now and reading your book outloud the other night to my fiance, he is going veg! Yahoo! So i was trying to pull up on the internet that soy isnt going to give him boobs (to squash his fear of tofu) but couldnt pull up anything concrete. There was a ton of negative stuff on there. Please give me an answer! (and make it positive so I can print it, give it to him, and cook tons of tofu!)
I've heard of this too. I don't know where to direct you for a big solid answer but can suggest when you do give him tofu that it is organic, sprouted and non-GMO. Wild Woods makes one called SprouTofu which is easy to find, at least in my experience in the Seattle area, so I'd keep an eye out for that. HTH
I think it is very different from person to person. Use a lot of hemp instead, it's just as good, or even better? Make sure to include a lot of lentils, beans, seeds and nuts if you won't use soy at all. Regard that there are a lot of low-quality studies that started some of the rumours. I am still concerned with the eventual health risks so I use soy sparely.
