I just found out that if my son gets into Pre-K in NYC public school he'll be required to get the MMR and Chickenpox vaccine which we haven't gotten yet. I'm not sure about the MMR, but the Chickenpox vaccine contains cow fetus. They allow a religious exemption but I don't know that they'd consider veganism the same as religion in regards to this exemption. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Hi Catgirl, hopefully you got some info by now. I live in Georgia and my kids go to private school, we got the religious exemption too, because that is the only one they allow here in Georgia, if that is the only way we can get around then be. You can just get it online, look for NY vaccine exemption. You should find it, then fill it out and propably need to get it notorized. Hope it helps!

You should be able to have a personal exception. The form I filled out for my daughter asked if it was religious personal or medical.

I take the vaccine form from the school and take it to the Doctor, in Minnesota. They have a place to fill out the reason and put the Dcotors signature on it, just so that they know that I've been "educated" by a Doctor. I put personal exemption on it, you can use religious exemption or whatever you choose really. It is your right to refuse, and I need it to stay that way.

I had no idea they put 'cow fetus' in vaccines ... how awful .... that's not the only reason not do it though, you can't trust what's in them at all ....

Have a look into doing a homeopathic schedule. It is not actually called a vaccination, but you may for more information searching under this word or the term Homeoprophylaxis.

This is not a guarantee against infection (neither are conventional vaccinations) but can offer some immune resistance against these diseases and when administered and signed officially some organizations will accept this as sufficient immunization.

Yes, my sisters went the homeopathic way as an alternate option for their kids.

Hi has anyone read the book Vaccine Epidemic? I always knew about the dangers of vaccines but this book was a very big eye opener for me!
