Help, hubby not on board with the Vegan lifestyle

My son went pescitarian (term?), he eats fish, eggs and cheese in January followed by myself and my daughter. It's been easier for me to cook 1 meal as opposed to 2 or even 3 and within weeks we all began to lose weight and feel better! We've been slowly removing cheese and other dairy out of our diet. Trouble is hubby is not on board. He always asks if the "meat" is real... most often it's meatless or vegan. He wants a juicy burger every now and again so I oblige but I really want us ALL to go Vegan. Not only would it be easier on me but also healthier for him. Any tips that would encourage him to get with the program 100% without complaining? lol. One thing to note, he comes from a family of hunters and gatherers... I gather, blueberries. Help!
Hi Maria! I have a mix up of eaters at my house as well. i'm vegan, my husband is veggie, my daughter is pescitarian and my two boys eat everything(well almost). When i first started the ride a year and a half ago my husband still insisted on meat every night except for meatless mondays. So i would make 2 or sometimes 3 meals each night for dinner. This got old fast, and i just couldn't make myself buy meat anymore let alone cook it. So i just quit making meat altogether. The kids can shoose to eat meat at school each day and every friday grandma cooks meat. As well as when we go out to eat they can choose to eat meat. But as for at home all meals are vegan with vegetarian options on the side. It took some getting used to but since then my husband has turned vegetarian and everyone enjoys the meat substitutes. And since all my children are pre teens and teens i give them the choice when we are not at home of what to eat, within reason. My hope is that with my example and great food they will eventually choose to eat kindly. Best of luck.
