Hey everyone - so happy I've found a vegan internet community - I'm absolutely amazed by "The Kind Diet", started two weeks ago becoming a superhero! Hope to meet a lot of happy vegans!

Wow, you're the first german VEGANs I met...I've got a lot of vegetarian friends, but none of them is vegan...maybe they will be somedaysmiley-cool.gif...

This is, by the way, my third week as a vegan - how about you?

How do your friends / family react? Mine are a bit irritated...

P.S.: I'm from Hamburg

Hi all,

i am from germany too and a vegetarian. I love the book from Alicia and cannot await to get home to read on and on. She is talking about the things i feel and that is wonderful to find somebody thinking the way you do.

Are you guys feeling the same? I will do my step into vegan first before trying the superhero way and am excited!

Would love to hear from one of you!

Best regards,

Claudia

hey

I'm from Germany too. I live in Kiel, in the north of Germany.

I became vegan this year, because of Alicias book. I thought about becoming vegan before, but the book gave me an impulse to start this trip. I feel so fantastic. I am vegan now for 2 months, and I really feel a changing. My skin is better and I lost wight without wanting that and without counting calories. I am very leger in my allday life. nothing can bother me anymore.

I have been vegetarian for 2 1/2 years, but now for me it's much more complete. For me, there's no way baxk, never.

Many greetings to all vegans and vegetarians, who want to be kind to the planet, too.

Thank you very much, that something is moving.

That sounds great! It's almost same for me. I am vegetarian since almost 1 year and her book gave me the impulse to be and live vegan although i did not completely start yet. There are still some steps to do. I stopped drinking milk at almost same time i stopped eating meat, but the cheese f.e. is still part of my meal and some other bad things.

To be honest i am a little frightened to do this step a 100% as i am considering social contacts f.e. at work asking for going to lunch...eating pizza etc. As the restaurants in there are not offering vegan food i will not be a part of the round anymore.

But i feel that it is the right way and every day my heart gets stronger to make the right step.

It is nice to hear that you made such wonderful experience like loosing weight, good skin...although this is not the main point for me to do it. I love animals and the world and i don't want to destroy either the one or the other. But the good results like skin, weight just shows that it is correct that way. Humans are no meat eaters.

Thank you for that comment - helps me a lot :)

I live in the US but am first generation American, my family is European and I grew up on traditional homecooked meals - food was such a central part of our home life and culture. I am really interested in hearing about the experiences from those of you in Germany in terms of what you eat, and how you make the vegan diet work within your culture. How does one make a vegan diet German? (Or, scandinavian, or, french, or whatever?) What kinds of great things are you eating over there? I look forward to reading more - tschuss! :-)

HI,

ich bin auch aus Deutschland (Kassel). Eine bekannte deutsche Vegan-Community ist vegan.de, allerdings muss man dort zum Teil aufpassen, was man schreibt, da man gern mal stark kritisiert wird ^^
