Just wanted to let everyone who may not already know... Garage sales are great places to find breadmakers. You can often find them for $5 or $10. Also many places have local groups like freecycle where you give free and recieve free items you may . My town has a local "garage sale" group where you can offer items for a small fee or see if anyone has an extra one of an item you are looking.

A couple days ago, I asked the garage sale group if anyone had a bread maker the no longer needed that they would be willing to part with for a small fee. I had several responses (and our town is rather small) offering breadmakers for $10 or less. I was able to find a nice one and have a loaf in the making as I type this. She even had the original book for it with many recipes. None of them are vegan, but the substitutions are very easy and i can't wait to perfect that perfect slice of homemade bread.

Also someone told me that you can also often find them at 2nd hand places for the same price.

Happy breadmaking!
