Possible Jail Time for Mother of 6 for Planting an Organic garden on the Front Lawn

Saddened and shocked at the same time when I read this article.


Michigan neighbors in the Oak Park area complained of an organic garden planted by a mother of 6.


Would love to hear your thoughts on this story.

I can't imagine any judge not throwing this out of court. What a waste of tax dollars to prosecute someone for environmentally conscious thriftiness.

And, it's total BS that Michegan has such a jacked up law! I just lost what little respect I had for that state's government.

Its a shame people complain about a positive footstep in the right direction.


Hopefully the judge will make a difference and change the law. Gardens are beautiful anywhere. I believe Alicia posted an article a few months back about Veggie gardens at NY's City Hall. Oak Parkers would have a stroke if they saw that.
