i just wanted to say I completely understand your feelings and my experience has been mixed too!
I am in school for integrative Nutrition and have been a veggie since I was 10. I was advised by my acupuncturist to have some meat in my diet because I have a thyroid problem and have trouble loosing weight. Soooo after many years trying to handle it on my own and not having luck, I tried eating meat. My cholesterol shot up and I became pre-diabetic within 6 months! So no more meat for me...and I'm back to my happy healthy guilt free self!!! FEEEWWWWWW In my studies I have learned why in Chinese medicine they like use use animal protein, I get it, but doesn't mean that works for me! In your case...she was soooo in the wrong. Any practitioner needs to respect where you are coming from and work with you. I'm so sorry that you had to deal with that.

I will say I have had some extraordinary experiences though with acupuncturists. I have a friend in Arizona that is just a magical person...acupuncturist..healer...she is amazing! Her office is soothing from the moment you walk in and her hands and energy are just special. She also stays in the room with you...which rocks because I hate when they walk out and you are left with needles in your head...not relaxing people!!! Ssshhhh her Name is Rita, she's in Tucson... and her company is called In Bloom...her email is inbloomhh@hotmail.com. She has a huge wealth of information and really knows her stuff...so if you ever have acupuncture questions or you want a comment from her about your treatment...write her!! She also charges a 3rd of what people around here change!!

Great healers are heard to find but they are out there!!!
