Vegan shoe grip/adhesive?

Does anyone know of a vegan shoe grip or adhesive? I have some really cute vegan shoes from Wanted, but they are so slippery that I can't wear them without breaking my neck. The boyfriend found something online called shoe grip which is a spray adhesive, but I'm sure it's made out of nasty animal bones just like 99% of other glues. Any suggestions?
What is the sole of your shoe made out of? You may not need an adhesive - just sandpaper them slightly
The sole is made out of plastic, but it's not completely smooth - it has little ridges. The ridges are indented rather than sticking out, which is probably why it's so slippery. I may try the sandpaper idea if I can't find anything else.
