I went to a demo on this machine last weekend, it is occupying my every thought. Wondering how vegans and vegetarians use it and if they use it enough to warrant the $2000 (Aus) price tag. I hear it is huge in Europe and Canada, been in Australia for ten years and I have seen it has made it into USA.

My friend has one and swears by it, she considers it the best lifestyle change.

This might not have any merit as far as you're concerned, but Alton Brown (a well-known chef) is pretty well known as having a great dislike of most kitchen uni-taskers. So, seems like he might like the Thermomix - but apparently not, at least not at the time of this article. For the non-professional chef, who knows?

I live in Australia and bought my Thermomix 3 years ago, I use it every day, very often more than once. It's the best kitchen appliance ever, you can make ANYTHING !!! You just have to learn and want to use it. It has to stay on your kitchen bench, not in a cupboard. They are loads of recipe books as well as recipes online ! Just made the best Sweet and sour prawns last night :)
