Hi! My name is Nisha and I would love to bring some simple but delicious South Indian cuisine to your table! I specialize in South Indian food, snacks and condiments, but can also produce some North side dishes as well smiley-laughing.gif. Recipes are tried and true and have been tasted, tested and fed to our family and friends for generations.

-I offer meals for individuals/families, as well as larger gatherings

-We offer condiments- tomato, green chili, coconut, etc. condiments and pickles.

-We also specialize in South Indian snacks-- as with all our food, only the absolute minimum amount of oil is used. We have both vegan and veg crispy snacks. I warn-- totally addictive.

-For our religious customers- please be assured that our kitchen is 100% vegetarian. NO meat is cooked or consumed in the pots/pans, etc used in cooking

Please contact me with any requests, general questions, info, etc. I look forward to hearing from you! Udpate: Will be cooking out of commerical grade kitchen!

I have been wanting to share our family's food for over 25 years now instead of just consuming it smiley-smile.gif . . and would love to have the chance to share the love with you. I was born and raised in Texas, so I have friends and family (yes family! :-)) from Brenham and Hunstville-- and they LOVE the food.

Hi there! I live in England but have travelled to India and tasted both northern and southern food and have to say I prefer southern dishes, and would love some recipes for black dhal (how can you make a vegan alternative still taste creamy? Or dhals in general and aubergine dishes? I have had lovely tomato based curries there and wouldn't mind a basic recipe so I can use it for all veggie or non veggie (for others) meals. Sorry if I lived in Texas I could hire you out for a day!!!

Thanks Jo

Hi Jo!

Well, sure no problem-- thank you so much for showing interest! Ok so I can share with you a masoor daal recipe if that is okay? This dish is not really a south indian dish per se, but we make it at home and it seems close to what you are referring. In regards to aubergine, I make a simple, but good 'dry' curry. Also, I have posted a recipe in the 'New Recipes' forum called 'Simple Ravai Oopma'. I'm not great at conveying recipes, so if you try it, please let me know how it turned out or if you have any questions I can clear up. I have the daal recipe all typed up, without the measurements which will probably not help! So, I will get that together and post here tomorrow.

Hi!

I posted the recipe under the 'New Recipes' Folder as it might be more appropriate there. Titled 'Masoor Daal goodness'. Let me know how it works out :-)
