Hey all! I listen to Colleen Patrick-Goudreau's Vegetarian Food For Thought, and love it, but I've listened to each episode about a half dozen times, I need to listen to more, so I've tried a couple.
I'm listening to Jamie Kilstein's(hilarious comedian!!) and Allison Kilkenny's Citizen Radio(and loving it). The hosts are vegan, but the content's not all vegan. It's more of a liberal/progressive radio show, covering things that we don't normally hear about in the media, and it's rad cause they seem to value critical thinking, which is needed. I've also been listening to Vegan Freak Radio Podcast, any others I need to hear? What are your favourite podcasts?

I'm a huuuuuge fan of Colleen and her podcast, but they're not updated often enough for me. I will have to try the other ones you mentioned. The latest podcast I've been into (it took me a little while to come around to their style after colleens was so formal, but I love "Our Hen House" They have really incredible guests too, i even think CPG might be on the next one. They give a vegan take on some news items and even though mariann seems a little less charismatic than jasmin, she is super interesting because she is an animal law expert. I love it:

Thanks claire! I've listened to 4 or 5 podcasts now and it's awesome! Really awesome guests! It's super cool, cause now I'm recognizing the names of these famous vegans, and seeing the connections. It's a nice little community. I didn't realize there was conflict in the community until very recently(ie. welfarists vs abolitionists). I haven't decided which side I'm on yet, I'm a pretty new vegan. Lots to think about.
Thank you for sharing!
I totally hear you about Colleen not having podcasts often enough!

Hi guys I wanted to tell you about:

http://veganfeed.com/podcasts.php

It lists 22 vegan podcasts and updates every 10 minutes with the latest episodes which you can play or download, share with others, and browse the show descriptions and episode details to discover your next favorite production, link up with their twitter, facebook, home page etc. I started it as a non-profit advocacy project. I found podcasts to be such a support, education and entertainment when I went vegan and still to this day. I was always recommending shows to others and being a web developer decide to build a site dedicated to promoting them and other vegan media such as video cooking shows.

Ben T-that's a great resource! For sure, use the skills you have to change the world! Would you mind if I included the link in my blog? I'm blogging at thebraininjuredvegan.blogspot.com

Bretzel-vegan podcasts do wonders for my sanity!
I'm meeting more local vegans now, but it was really lonely for awhile there.

My favourite vegan podcasts are Vegetarian Food for Thought, Our Hen House and Red Radio.
I also really like Abolitionist Approach podcast, it really challenges my thinking. Which I appreciate. :)

Alyx,

Thanks for the kind words. Oh yeah any links are definately welcomed!

Wow quite the journey you've been on, I can only imagine. I had a simple concussion couple months back where I got knocked out then lost my ability to speak for a minute (just jibberish), felt ok then suddenly lost a chunk of time and woke up in hospital and didn't know where I was and kept repeating the same questions over and over, had no short term memory for a few minutes, didn't know how the day even started or how I got there. Really freaky experience.

Ben T-that is terrifying! I'm super glad I remember nothing from the crash, I just remembering getting ready for work!
Although, there are moments when I wish I could remember having a trach or catheter so I can tell people it's not terrible.
But then again maybe it was terrible! :P

I know you've specifically asked for vegan podcasts, and my suggestion is not, sorry... but I really love the How Stuff Works podcasts, and just wanted to share in case you're looking for something else of interest.

There are a few different "shows" under the header of How Stuff Works, so there is pretty much something for everyone: Stuff You Should Know, Stuff You Missed in History Class, Brain Stuff, Tech Stuff, Stuff Mom Never Told You, etc., etc. The website is owned by Discovery and the podcasts seem to be pretty well researched and cited, and they have smartphone apps so you can listen to the episodes directy through that rather than through iTunes which is uber convenient when you're on the go)

Thanks for the Vegan Podcast suggestions, I'm definitely going to have to check those out.

Cheers!
