Eco friendly and safe steamer???

Hi Kind Lifers, my old metal steamer has just broken as its base had all rusted yuck! I need to get a new one asap, however I am looking for hints of the safest and least damaging to the environment. I also run my own vegan blog called http://www.asavegan.co.uk and I may write a post there too. Any suggestions or hints would be wonderful xx
I use a bamboo steamer... it's been great!
