Best Protein Shakes while Preg

I am almost 9 weeks pregnant and in need of a great tasting protein shake that is also healthy for baby! I am a vegetarian - not vegan so am open to any kind including whey although I prefer no soy. I have so much soy already in my diet that I would rather another source of protein. I find many contain Stevia and other artif ingrediants and I want to stay away from that. Any suggestions?! I used to love the vega vanilla protein but it has stevia:( Thanks!!
Why are you avoiding stevia? Stevia isn't like other artificialy sweeteners - it's not even artificial and it's not bad for you. I would stick with Vega assuming it doesn't have any added supplements that aren't good for the baby.
If you eat eggs, try making an orange julius! It's with powdered egg white. My father loves them, and the egg powder has a very good amino acid profile. You don't have to worry about samonella or anything with the powder as it's all pastuerized. I drank some before I went off eggs. You can usually buy it in baking sections at the supermarket. Below is the version I used to make:
Fill the glass you are going to drink from 2/3 with orange juice
Add a banana, and 3 frozen strawberries
Add a pinch of sugar and blend for about 15-20 seconds
add three ice-cubes and 1.5-2 spoonfuls of the egg white powder
Blend until slightly frothy.
Another very healthy alternative is hemp protein powder. It's not as palatable though. You can get it at a health food shop, or just blend/grind hemp seeds.
