I've been a devout Superhero for the past seven months and I feel excellent. I can't even begin to list the benefits, but suffice it so say, I've lost weight, my skin and hair look fabulous, I have great energy, I sleep soundly every night and I am so much calmer and happier. However, lol, I went to my cousins annual Ribfest in Connecticut this week, and although I didn't go crazy, I did indulge in both meat and dairy. Although I'm paying for it today (bloated, constipated, face a little broken out, tired), I have to say that this slip-up has really made me realize just how beneficial the Superhero lifestyly is. I cannot believe how lousy I feel today, or the fact that I once ate Every Single Day, the way I ate over the weekend (UGH!!!). I cannot fathom going back to that lifestyle. Just knowing I have meat in my system is enough to make learn my lesson. It felt great to wake up this morning to miso soup with Arame, brown rice porridge and a tall glass of carrot juice. At least a rainbow shines today in that we can learn from our slip ups right?!
I too have been superhero for a long time and drank 5 beers last night at a co-workers birthday party. I feel pretty gross today let me tell ya! Not really hungover but just feel tired and like my head is foggy. Drinking kukicha tea right now to hopefully get some balance back and soon I'm going to do some gentle yoga moves that help with a hangover. Sigh.........but yes, the rainbow, the clarity that superhero status brings!! Much love
Hi Tali - The funny part of slipping up is that you don't realize that thats how we've been treating our bodies before becoming superhero's! I can't believe I used to eat the things I did. Yuck! I feel so much better now. Not just physically, but alot happier, calmer and all around in a better place! Life is good :)
Have a beautiful day!
