About a year ago I read The Kind Diet for the first time and it changed my life forever! I thought I already ate pretty well and was healthy and fit (I'm 23 and a health major), but it really made me realize just how much junk I was putting into my body. Alicia made everything sound so amazing and inspiring. I wasn't sure how hard the transition would be but I was up for the challenge! I immediatly threw out all of the junk in my kitchen and had a new outlook on my diet. Since then I have lost 15 pounds, been in the best health I have ever been and I enjoy food and life so much more than before! I went in wanting to be more healthy but I wasn't expecting it to be such a game changer. I feel an inner peace that I didnt before and I feel much more connected to my body. If I slip just a little my body definitely lets me know! I visit this site regularly and read the book again whenever I need a reminder of how amazing this life style is. My friends may disagree with my choices sometimes, but I know my body better than they do and this diet is what my body needs! Thankfully my boyfriend is very supportive even if his diet isnt the same. I may not be perfect at it yet, we all slip sometimes (cheese and honey are my downfall) :) but it has been an amazing journey this year and I cant wait to continue on this path. I want to thank everyone on here for giving me advice, inspiration and support even if you didn't know you did! I'm so glad I have this community to turn to, its great to have people who understand and want to encourage me on this journey we call the Kind Life. Blessings to all of you!
