I just bought the book yesterday and am LOVING it! I've been vegan on and off for the past few years and have decided to dive right into the Superhero plan. Question- are snacks allowed? I know the plan lays out breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but should I be snacking if I'm hungry throughout the day or just wait it out till the next meal?
Eat. you should always listen to your body, I think. It's a bit mean to yourself to let your stomach hurt when it's hungry for fear of eating too much. Alicia always says to let your body tell you what you need, so if it's telling you it's hungry, it's because you are! (and that means you're in need of food) :)Just stick to healthy snack foods, like nuts, fruits or vegetables, etc.
Hi Katie, sure have snacks :) In Simon Brown's "Modern Day Macrobiotics" he has daily menus and in all of them it has Morning Snack (Optional) and Afternoon Snack (Optional). So yes I would agree with Carolina, if you need a snack go for it cuz that's what your body is telling you it needs.
