Northwest VEG will hold its 7th annual VegFest September 17th and 18th, 2011 in the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, OR. VegFest promotes sustainable, compassionate, healthy food choices and lifestyles and is hoping to draw 6000 people to the Oregon Convention Center this year (we had 5000 last year). It's a low-cost, family-friendly event that includes hundreds of free food samples, cooking demos, movie screenings (including Forks Over Knives and How I Became an Elephant), presentations by health professionals & animal advocates (including Dr. Neal Barnard of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and Wayne Pacelle of the Humane Society, in addition to many more), children's activities and much more.
