I am so fascinated by macrobiotics but I have also been reading books on raw food diets as well. I am wondering if anyone can tell me the differences they have noticed in adopting macrobiotic vs. raw food? Health issues resolved/gotten worse on either diet? Weight loss? Energy levels? Please let me know because I am confused as to what is best! thanks!

In my experience if gas, bloating, or hemroids are a problem for you or has been the raw foods diet is going to be difficult. It requires more time, money and when your out an about your pretty limited to food options. Nuts, fruits, veggies. . . Although if your one who doesnt like coking and is okay with eating plain ole produce all the time, or if you have alot of passion and time on your hands a raw foods diet could be good. In macrobiotics I noticed that being prepared is sooo much easier, and if you love a pipeing hot cup of this, or bowl of that, than superheroe might be better.

For me, I tend to eat macrobiotic dishes and food, but I am not a full superhero. I have fruit more the average macrobiotic goer, which works for me. I try to make raw things as well, because raw is good for you. Celery as a veggie base for fruit smoothies is quite refreshing and I try to have it often. If you are haveing energy troubles than the macrobiotic diet with alittle raw fruits is fine. Raw foodies tend to eat alot of nuts if there not consistant with the sprouting, so they can gain alittle weight.

I know that might not have helped very much, but maybe some perspective? Just try to do alittle of both all the time, if you feel that one lets you have more energy and weightloss than go with that if its what your looking for. A macrobiotic diet truley is the most kind, centering, and nourishing for the body though.

Good luck muh friend!
