Pregnancy Cravings...help!!!

I became vegan at the end of May, got pregnant in July and am now 10 weeks pregnant. Until this past week, I was eating in a fully vegan way, with perhaps only one slip up. However, this week I am craving cheese...bad. I had a frozen cheese lasagna in the freezer that we hadn't yet gotten rid of, and ate the whole thing within a 24 hour period!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I ate it, I felt a calm rush over me, and I seriously needed more. I'm wondering if my body is missing something, and I don't want to deprive my growing baby of anything she needs. I'm not sure whether to listen to the cravings, or try my best to refrain. I still am eating mostly vegan, but I'm craving lasagna or something along those lines again. I may have to re-read Alicia's chapter on dairy in the hopes that it might squash the cravings, but I really don't know what to do. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I wonder if anyone else had these cravings during pregnancy and what they did about them!? Thanks!
To clarify, it was a small lasagna. Lol.

I would try and make a home-made healthy lasagna that could be even vegan! You could even make a lot of it and put it in the freezer, for later cravings. There are also vegan cheese alternatives that you could eat if you like. Happy pregnancy! Charlotte

Make lasagna with vegan pasta and cheese. The other thing you may be actually needing is the high fat content that goes with cheese. Try avocado or cashew cream?
Also, are you taking b12 supplements? that may have something to do with the stress if not..
I am 14 weeks pregnant with my second, Been vegan 5 years, I would say stick with it, do research on what you might be craving, usually I have found it is fat because vegan is a low fat diet but babies need a lot of healthy fat. So whatever that means whether it's vegan lasagna or french fries whatever just try and satisfy the craving in a vegan way and also make sure to eat plenty of avocado, nuts, nut butters, coconut, coconut oil, flax and olive oil etc to get that good fat might help subdue those cravings in the long run. For me healthy stuff is repulsive right now so I am just eating a lot of vegan pie, vegan pizza and lasagna but supplementing with VitaMineral Green by healthforce and soon enough it will get more reasonable that you can choose what you eat
I'm experiencing the same struggles, esp. with cheese, but I'm even craving meat. I've been vegan for over seven months and am seven weeks pregnant. I had omni friends over for dinner over the weekend, and we all made our own pizzas, and I was practically drooling over their dairy cheese! My husband and I used Teese (blech), but even Daiya, which I like ok, isn't cutting it :( It's frustrating because I haven't had cravings or desires like this until now.
