Hi everyone! I'm 13 weeks 2 days pregnant, and am a vegan flirt...meaning I eat vegan 99% of the time, but I do on occasion have some cheese (usually in the form of really good cheese paired with wine or my favorite pizza). Anyway, in the past couple of weeks, the idea of eating cheese is becoming even more disturbing so I'll likely be indulging even less. That said, I had my second midwife appointment today and she commented on how my hemoglobin levels are perfect, "especially for a vegan!". I'm super excited because my midwife had said that she's been flirting with veganism for the past week. I hope this will show her that a vegan diet provides all of the essential nutrients! Yay! Also, we heard the heartbeat today!!!
