Tomorrow starts "Autumn"....my favorite time of the year! And there are exactly 90 days to the transition of winter, my addiction is beer and I'm going to give it up for 90 days. Is there anyone else out there that want to give up something that they are addicted too....like chocolate, food, cigarettes...whatever your addiction may be lets support each other and become healthier, I need to be held acountable and I need support.

Hi Michele-I love beer too. 90 days is a longgggg time. My goal is to do the quantum wellness cleanse that Kathy Freaston wrote a book about. It takes only three weeks but you stop eating gluten, sugar, caffeine, alcohol and of course animal products. I feel like fall is the perfect time to take care of yourself and get healthy for the winter. i live in Alaska so winter is a big deal. Try posting your question again tomorrow when more people are reading this website while they are supposed to be working...like I do!

Michele! I commend you for giving up beer, it can be a nice way to unwind. Good for you! Let's see, for me I guess my resolution would be giving up all foods with refined sugars. I've been doing a lot of research and studying on acne and how to treat it, (I've struggled with it for years now) and am learning how refined sugars are linked and starchy foods, caffeine, alcohol, etc. So along with the other items I listed, sugar is the one I feel will be the most challenging to give up. I do enjoy sweets from time to time, but hey, fruit is super good for you and can give me that sugar fix :) Keep me updated on how things are going for you Michele, you have my support sista!

Hey fireweed, that's great! Cleanses are really good, I've tried a couple different ones. I am actually doing a detox system right now called Clean Start, it's a two week detox and I'm taking a skin detox as well. What type of cleanse is the one your doing? :)

My resolution would be watch and decrease my refined sugars and increase my greens...lots and lots of greens! I'd also like to try some more gluten-free foods to see if they have any different effect on my digestion and overall feeling of well-being. Oh, and my husband and I are trying to have a family, so last but not least, I'd love to be preggers soon! :)

Well, I'm currently on day 3 of a 6 week advanced Kaeng Raeng detox. After that my goal is to continue with a healthy vegan diet. My 38th bday is Oct 6th so I keep telling myself all these things - starting then I won't do this or I'll only eat that. My Autumn/birthday resolution is to be good to my body (it's taken a beating the past decade or two). Lose the weight that I need to for my health and then some more that I need to for me!

hmm..I didn't think of making up a resolution, but I have been thinking about taking the time to make my own bread products (ie torillas, sandwich bread, etc) because I can, it's inexpensive, and I can make sure they are full of nourishing ingredients.

So, I guess I'll join you and make that into my resolution!

Fun times ahead!
