Kindness lacking among my peers; I Need Love

I try to be as superhero as possible, and eating superhero is the easiest part of that for sure. I feel so excited about all the solidarity and uprisings for justice, democracy, and peace that are going on in our country and all over the world.... but so many around me, people who don't think about doing anything superhero, leave me feeling sad. I just need some support. People are good for the most part, right? I'll make some cure all tea and see if I can find some love on kindlife :)
I definitely can relate Abby. I recently came back from a trip to India and Nepal, where so many people live with so few necessities, let alone luxuries, and yet they find a way to remain positive, hospitable and caring. The superficiality and materialism of the United States has always bothered me, but this time it was a real slap in the face. Just remember that there are tons of people out there who feel the same way as you, who want to make the world a healthier, more caring place. Maybe there's none in your immediate group of peers, which makes it harder, but stay strong, and you may find that people will become interested in what you have to say, and YOU might even change their minds!! Stay positive and lead through example.
We're all in this together : )
Abby Lynn, I wish I had something profound to say, but I just wanted to send you some kindness! I have felt very discouraged with others many times, (with myself at times as well). One thing that I discovered is to let go of any judgement I may have of another, (not saying you have this, but I tend to get that way if I don't be careful). Just keeping myself on a good path is enough, & not taking other views so personally has surely made me feel less sadness that I can't change what I don't agree with. You will find more likeminded people eventually, the waiting for good stuff just stinks sometimes. But, it's worth it to do what's in your heart! I hope this doesn't sound too lecturish, that's not my intention! The sunshine is always there, even when we can't see it
Thanks ladies :) Your words are comforting. Someone called me a "looney tune" that day because of how I eat and what I beleive in (social justice). Thank you for the support! It truly helps.
