corn bread recipe

Can someone tell me, the corn bread recipe from The Kind Life book calls for sorghum...is that the syrup or the flour? Thanks!! I used syrup but the batter seems VERY liquidy.
I just made this recipe last night and it is the syrup. My batter was very runny too but they turned out perfectly :) Don't suppose you know a substitute for Sorghum? Or what doesn't Sorghum actually taste like? I used Molasses instead but I don't like the liquorice flavour.
In the book it says you can use maple syrup instead of sorghum
Has anyone tried this with Brown Rice Syrup? I would be interested in hearing thoughts on it!
Hello, I have made this cornbread recipe many times. The first time I made it with brown rice syrup and it was awesome. I tried it recently with maple syrup and it was equally good!
