Hello kind lifers! My name is there buch, and i'm a student at Illinois State University, currently studying Community Health edu and Poli Sci. After spending my last summer working on an organic farm in Oregon i've become well aquainted and very interested with eating locally and organic. My hope in the future is to start farmers markets in places that typically don't have access to fresh produce, and eventually i'd like to play an active role in communities designing farm-to-fork, farm-to-school initiatives to encourage healthy eating in communities. I'm also interested in food policy and potentially lobbying for farm subsidies for fruit and veggie farmers/

It's that time of year when us college students begin apply for internships and thought i'd give The Kind Life forums a try because this type of community is very open-minded and helpful and has generally been a good resource for me in the past with other issues regarding vegetarianism/veganism.
