Saint Francis Couture Meet Rodney - I found out about Rodney from Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine(PCRM.org) Here is his story. This sweet gentle dog was used by students who were training to work in a profession that heals. They were told to break his bones and remove his organs. They would cut him open and sew him up until they were done with him. Then they euthanized him. This was done in the name of science. And what I will say now is something that a veterinarian that was my boyfriend many years ago told me. He got his degree at UC Davis. He told me that this is what they did and the last operation was an amputation. And he told me that the thing he couldn't understand was that every time the dogs came out of the anesthesia they wagged their tails and were so happy to see the person that was dissecting them to death. It made me so sick I left him. When I saw Rodney I broke down and cried like a baby. And I'm crying as I write this. This is not the only way that a doctor can learn, products can be tested or scientific breakthroughs can be achieved. And anyone that is capable of doing this is beyond cruel. I give a monthly donation to PCRM.org, who are dedicated to stopping this cruelty and saving animals like Rodney from this horrible and senseless death.
